My wife didn't actually say her wedding vows. After the priest said, "This is the moment of truth," her mouth didn't open.

Welcome to my Woe, let the whining begin

The purpose of this blog is to give me a place to complain about my relationship with my wife who is a Filipina, that's a woman of the Philippines. I love my life in the Philippines and I liked my wife when I married her. We were strangers, so it's my fault. Things are never perfect no matter what you do and we have a foster child so I can't really leave without seriously compromising my principles and permanently hurting a child I have loved since 8 months before his birth.

In short, this is my place to complain about something that isn't going to change. It's hard to send whiny emails to my elderly parents who can't do anything about it, my siblings who are mostly divorced and/or aloof, and if I post this sort of stuff on internet forums I will be slammed, pro and con, with responses. Hopefully a blog will be just about right for someone who is busy with other things and yet needs to spend a little time complaining, but not too much.

I am 9000 miles from my home and literally have no one to talk to in depth. Usually I like that because I am a lousy conversationalist anyway and have better things to do than sit around yikitty-yakking. The problem is, when it comes to complaining about your wife in the Philippines, you'd pretty much have to be a Filipino to know the right way to achieve the whining without being hated by your wife and everyone she knows, such as her relatives.

So that's a start and I'll try to come back here from time to time for moaning sessions that maybe only I will see with a few exceptions.
